Diabetes Treatment Type 2

The causes of diabetes have long been studied, the lack of insulin has been established, and dozens of ways have been found to apply it externally: first animal, porcine insulin, then human, genetic engineering, and now insulin analogs.

The huge business that produces and sells these drugs to millions of diabetics around the world is booming as always: the number of cases is growing every 10 minutes, and a cure for a dangerous disease still exists.

First, children, the growing generation, need to grow up and become doctors. More intelligent doctors than they were in the previous generation - this is evolution.

Children should study and, say, play games in operations or games in science because any child wants to do something with their own hands. For example, change the world.

However, more and more children are spending days, weeks, and years playing online games on completely different topics. Therefore, we can conclude that this side should not expect help.

Meanwhile, research aimed at elucidating the causes and possible means and methods of curing this insidious disease is not ceasing. A large number of clinics, conduct therapy with specialized techniques to restore insulin sensitivity and vascular elasticity, which is so important and necessary for people with diabetes.

Will the growing empire of manufacturers of insulin and other hypoglycemic agents fall? Could be. After all, the money spent annually on the production of many tons of insulin and the salaries of tens of thousands of employees, through advertising, could be invested in the study of disease and, certainly, something could be cured. Or at least make another planet habitable.

One way or another, modern society dictates to us in which direction to move and at what speed. Attempts against the tide on an overcrowded planet are becoming increasingly difficult and of little use.

We will continue to hope and wait for a new genius that will bring health to diabetics. At the same time the bankruptcy of many drug-earning companies and the unemployment of their employees.

Is type 2 diabetes treatable?

Type 2 diabetes, a form independent of insulin, is common among middle-aged people.

Because of the prevalence, doctors are trying to find an effective drug that will help eliminate the symptoms and cure diabetes forever.

Type 2 diabetes

Non-insulin-subordinate diabetes mellitus is an immune system sickness with a persistent course. The primary drivers of the sickness lie in the incorrect lifestyle, all the more definitively, in the absence of a sound and nutritious eating regimen.

Metabolic disorders lead to damage to insulin-producing B-cells. Insulin resistance develops and peripheral blood glucose levels rise. The clinical picture is manifested in the following:

  • constant thirst,
  • dry mouth
  • increased (or uncontrolled) appetite,
  • loss of skin moisture,
  • weight gain,
  • nervousness and emotional instability,
  • long healing wounds and scratches.

The disease occurs among middle-aged or elderly citizens. Impaired metabolism is complicated by high-calorie foods and lack of physical activity.

Diabetes brings great discomfort. Frequent mood swings and emotional emptiness negatively affect a person’s ability to work. Internal organs and systems include kidneys, heart, blood vessels, and brain.

The most dangerous complication of the disease is atrophy of the tissues of the lower (rarely upper) limbs, followed by the development of gangrene.

In medical practice, diabetes is called a "mild killer." This name fully characterizes the disease. There is no cure for complete cure, and supportive therapy allows you to temporarily relieve the patient of unpleasant signs of pathology.

Is It Possible To Get Rid Of Type 2 Diabetes Completely

"Can Type 2 Diabetes Be Cured?" - a difficult question discussed by doctors around the world.

Some experts note the possibility of the disease being completely resolved, while others argue that the autoimmune process cannot be cured, but that it is possible to control the disease.

The possibility of a complete cure can be said if the disease is detected at an early stage. Critical changes have not yet occurred in the body and with the right treatment, pancreatic cells will begin to synthesize "quality" insulin.

Unfortunately, in the vast majority of cases, diabetes is detected with severe glycemia, when the doctor registers obvious signs of the disease.

The treatment of the disease consists of several points. The treatment regimen is developed individually, taking into account several parameters:

  • age of the patient,
  • his body weight,
  • lifestyle,
  • concomitant diseases.

If all the conditions determined by the doctor are followed, the possibility of full recovery increases. It should be borne in mind that no medical professional can predict how a diabetic will behave and whether he will accept the proposed treatment.

Treatment regimen

Treatment of type 2 diabetes is pointed toward reestablishing metabolic cycles, and disappointments in that cause hyperglycemia. Insulin opposition causes:

  • accumulation of adipose tissue,
  • glycogen production in the liver,
  • inhibition of protein synthesis,
  • accumulation of glucose in the tubules of the nephron.

Glucose is characterized by high molecular weight, so its accumulation in the kidneys and urinary tract indicates the severe nature of the disease. Along with sugar, acetone also grows in the urine, which indicates a malfunction of the internal secretion and the existing intoxication of the body.

The treatment regimen primarily depends on the cause of diabetes and its complications. The parameters of mandatory therapy are:

  • weight loss
  • increase physical activity,
  • taking hypoglycaemic drugs.

For a person to get rid of hyperglycemia forever, it is necessary to control body weight, using all kinds of methods to reduce excess weight.

Before starting therapy, it is necessary to make a diagnosis: measure blood glucose, perform a sugar tolerance test, and determine the concentration of glycosylated hemoglobin.

Based on the results, a conclusion is made about the disease and the stage of the pathological process.

Blood sugar control

With any form of diabetes, blood glucose is controlled by special equipment - a glucometer. The device is a plastic case with an outer wheel. In the lower part, there is a recess for reading a blood sample, the data is recorded on a wheel.

Mandatory "parts" of the device are stripped for measuring capillary blood for glucose levels. The principle of the glucometer is based on photometry, ie changing the color of the strip with a drop of blood.

Glucose control is performed several times a day:

  • after waking up,
  • before meals,
  • after meals,
  • before going to bed.

Glucometer data allows you to estimate your blood sugar level and take the necessary measures, such as medications and a sweet snack with hypoglycemia.

The normal glucose value for type 2 diabetes is 5.5-6.6 mmol / L. For glucose not to "jump" into the blood of older and middle-aged people, several mandatory rules must be followed.

With a strong desire to get rid of diabetes forever, it is not enough to take medication, it is extremely important to follow a diet and lifestyle. Sometimes people rely on a pharmaceutical manufacturer, leading a lifestyle that only makes the disease worse.

Diet

A low-carbohydrate diet is key to eliminating hyperglycemia. Scientists have long established that being overweight causes insulin to break down with glucose molecules.

Lipids accumulate in internal organs (especially in the liver and pancreas), fatty infiltrates are formed and metabolic processes fail carbohydrates, proteins, fats.

Diabetes should reduce or decrease the intake of foods with a high glycemic index (GI). These products include:

  • Sweet fruits and juices,
  • Fatty meat,
  • Bread,
  • Ice cream,
  • Pasta,
  • Smoked and canned food,
  • Candy,
  • Baking pastries.

Diabetics with type 2 disease adhere to diet no. 9, developed by Russian endocrinologists. Sample menu of the "ninth" table:

  • Breakfast: carrots, buckwheat, oatmeal, tea without sugar,
  • Lunch: any unsweetened fruit,
  • Lunch: stewed vegetables, cooked lean meat, bread crumbs, and dry fruit soup (without sugar),
  • Afternoon tea: tea with biscuit cookies,
  • Dinner: sprinkle with cheese and vegetable salad.

In diabetes, it is important to eat fractionally and consume herbal teas or decoctions of blueberries, blackberries, and mountain ash. A detailed diet and a list of prohibited and permitted products are prescribed by a doctor. A prerequisite is to record the calories eaten.

Physical education and sports

Physical activity is an equally important part of therapy for type 2 diabetes. During exercise, muscle mass accumulates, excess fat stores are lost, and the patient’s weight is reduced. Physical education encourages cell renewal and initiates cleansing from stagnation.

Special exercise complexes have been developed for people with hyperglycemia. Before using them, it is important to assess the patient's condition and clarify the blood sugar level.

The most effective exercises:

  • pressure from the wall 10-15 times a day,
  • half-squat at least 20 times,
  • squeezing-tearing a rubber ball with one or two palms,
  • bending to the knee in a sitting position 8-10 times,
  • bending-extending the knee by pulling on the abdomen 10 to 20 times a day.

Walking is no less effective. Patients suffering from "diabetes" can benefit from 8,000 to 10,000 steps.

Every physical activity contributes to weight loss, and for greater results, gymnastics should be performed daily.

Rejecting bad habits

Smoking, alcohol, passive lifestyle are the habits of an unhealthy lifestyle:

  • Smoking and diabetes are two incompatible concepts. Niacin and tobacco tar worsen diabetes and interfere with normal drug use.
  • Ethanol is present in alcohol, which negatively affects the cardiovascular system. Toxic products of alcohol metabolism disrupt glucose uptake and promote its accumulation in blood vessels.

Timely rejection of addiction will allow the body to gain the strength to fight the main disease.

Doctors recommend any disease to reconsider their lifestyle and stop smoking and consuming alcohol.

Fighting obesity

Being overweight is the initial stage of obesity. With diabetes, the fight against excess weight is difficult, but even worse when the diagnosis of obesity is confirmed.

Obesity is a disease that hinders normal metabolism, including carbohydrates. To get rid of the disease, you need to seek qualified help.

The main cause of excess adipose tissue is hormonal failure or imbalance of endocrine hormones.

Disease control is carried out conservatively or surgically. It is important to note that all patients diagnosed with obesity develop acute or latent hyperglycemia.

Diabetes medications

Conservative treatment is the use of drugs that lower glucose and boost insulin synthesis. The composition of the drug includes metformin, which has a great pharmaceutical effect. Medications are taken according to the established schedule and only after measuring blood glucose.

Drug therapy is carried out from different groups of hypoglycemic agents:

  • insulin-boosting drugs
  • Drugs aimed at reducing glucose resistance,
  • combination drugs.

Diabetes treatment takes a long time - until the compensatory phase begins. Drug treatment should be combined with diet and gymnastics.

To fully recover from hyperglycemia, it is necessary to achieve stable remission and conduct a course of therapy with new-generation diabetes drugs.

The most common medications for type 2 diabetes are:

  • Glucophage increases insulin sensitivity and processes glycogen,
  • Glicvidon has a pronounced therapeutic effect and can lead to a sharp drop in blood sugar,
  • Exenatide is a combination drug.

With severe symptoms and the serious nature of the course, patients are advised to resort to insulin therapy.

Insulin injection

The insulin-dependent form of diabetes can only be treated with hormone injections. Other measures are supportive but are unable to keep sugar levels under control.

In another form of diabetes, insulin is indicated in exceptional cases:

lack of therapeutic effect of preventive measures and drugs,

  • Development of complications,
  • Diabetes was established more than 10 years ago,
  • The patient's age does not exceed 65 years,
  • Increased risk of the disease becoming insulin-dependent.

About 40% of diabetics need insulin therapy. It is performed by injecting an insulin-like hormone into the subcutaneous space. Insulin injections are prescribed only by an expert in the field of endocrinology and after a thorough examination.

For example, the basis for insulin intake is:

  • glucosuria,
  • ketonuria
  • proteinuria,
  • hyperglycemia above 14.0 mmol / long time,
  • occurrence of atrophic changes in the lower extremities.

Treatment with insulin injections prevents the development of encephalopathy and nephropathy, but only with timely diagnosis and treatment.

Prevention and recommendations

To get rid of diabetes, you should always follow a few rules:

  • Be healthy.
  • Follow a diet.
  • Take prescription drugs.

Every year, the clinics conduct a medical examination of the population. Among many doctors, the endocrinologist occupies a high place. This will help you identify the disease and prescribe the right treatment.

Treatment of type 1 and 2 diabetes on the hands of the patients themselves. To completely get rid of the disease, it is necessary to deal with the diagnosis and thorough examination. Timely detection of pathology increases the chances of complete recovery
